Experience

I have served as the Judge of the Cleveland Heights Municipal Court since 2018, overseeing all criminal, civil, eviction housing, and small claims filings.

I am currently serving on the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Commission on Technology and the Courts and on the Ohio Judicial Conference Civil Law and Procedure Committee and Legislative Committee. I was elected by my peers to serve as a Trustee to the Association of Municipal and County Judges of Ohio as well as Secretary of the Northern Ohio Municipal Judges Association. Since taking the bench, I have given lectures on a variety of topics to the International Municipal Lawyers Association, the Strategic Code Enforcement Management Academy, the City Club of Cleveland, and others. I also routinely meet with our students to do things like discussing what it takes to be a leader to sixth graders or reading a book to first graders.

My strong values, both on and off the bench, are because I was raised in Cleveland Heights. I delivered the Sun Press, bagged groceries at Russo’s, and sold cars at Motorcars. This City has made me who I am today. The strong foundation built here in my youth, and the progressive and diverse people who make up this City, are why my wife and I have chosen to make it the home for ourselves and our two boys.

After graduating from Miami of Ohio and the Case Western University School of Law, I opened my practice on Lee Road here in Cleveland Heights. Some of my earliest experiences in the courtroom were defending individuals, and in fact, I tried my first case in the Cleveland Heights Municipal Court. After that, I handled and tried cases in every municipal court in northeast Ohio and throughout our State.

I want to continue to serve and give back to this great community. I thank you for your consideration, and I hope I can once again gain your support, and ultimately, your vote.
